Here we have the second of a pair of LBSC Terrier tanks, built to the Martin Evans 'Boxhill' design. This one isn't quite as far on as the last, although only a couple of little jobs to do on the eccentric straps and valve gear and it will be where the first one was. It could be an air running chassis within a days work.
Again, the photos will tell you much of what you need to know, suffice to say that the boiler comes with the original test certificate to twice working pressure, and is both neatly and well made by a respected boilermaker. The bottom end is competently engineered, rather than to a particularly beautiful standard, but will make a solid running model when finished. The bodywork is roughed out as you can see, with some parts better than others. the tanks are nicely done, but the cab will need 'tweaking' to finish it off properly. That all said, there is a lot there, and it won't be a particularly taxing winter project to get this one hitting the rails.
